World's Biggest Mouth |
| On this date 1981 in Eugene, Oregon was held the contest for the World's Biggest Mouth. Now of course there was no way that FRB was going to miss this contest, because it would show what ability his one great feature did have, sound. FRB loked at the contestants and they ranged from the very obese to skinny as a barber's pole, some were from outside the United States, many from the Artic area, where communication was difficult and sparse. FRB though saw no difficulty with the competition and simply waited to be called, he ended up being number 17 out of 30 contestants. When it came his turn, FRB gazed at the audience, then at the judges, the finally at the other contestants, he then said flatly "there won't be a need for number 18." So he began to flex his big mouth until there was a slight tremor and some disturbance with the echo of his voice in the mountains, but it was the birds falling out of the trees that convinced everyone, no 18 was needed indeed! There is only one big mouth and that belongs to FRB. |
